Wrist sprain

whey protein 80Unfortunately, I suffered from a Grade Two wrist sprain around four weeks ago.

The injury occurred after a bad fall in the shower (not wanking related, honest) severely straining all the ligaments down from my little finger to my forearm.

R.I.C.E has become my best form of pain control these past few weeks, along with working a lot more, which has resulted in me neglecting this blog.

Not training means I have nothing much to add from a training standpoint in this post.

I will take this opportunity to praise the lifters who competed in the British Champs this past weekend at Bangor Uni.

Incredible lifters – which just annoyed me even more as, just like a good YouTube motivation video, it made me want to train even more!

I have never been as motivated as I am right now to get back onto that platform and start slinging weights all over the shop.

Hopefully I will be cleared this weekend to start light training next week.

Below you can find some videos of all my lifts in the week of the injury:

Dimitry Klokov

Also to note, if you haven’t already checked it out, Dimitry Klokov (a certified beast of a weightlifter) has his own YouTube channel uploading insights into various exercises he uses in his programme.

I am continually amazed by the guy’s sheer strength – superset deadlift 300-120kg, which is seriously impressive for a 105kg lifter!

Nothing else to say other than get to the gym!

  1. Given the ridiculous weight you throw (but in a highly controlled way) about.

Getting injured like that must be gutting!

  2. I’ve always admired and respected those who walk this road.

Even with moderate training I used to suffer joint and tendon soreness.

I know Bangor well – grew up there – wish I’d been there for the competition.

I hope the event brought some needed stimulus to the lovely old town.
