You just need to get your creative juices flowing…
To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic Size & Strength Bundle (which retails at over £45) all you have to do is:
1. Invent a bodybuilding exercise! Just give it a name and a brief description and leave it in the comments section below.
2. Then add your details to our mailing list by filling out the special competition form below (this step is important as we will announce the winners via email):
The funniest and/or most dangerous 3 will then be performed by GymTalk’s highly trained (we’re not) staff and posted to the blog for your amusement.
Then we’ll get you guys to vote for the winner from these 3 candidates.
All we ask is that your exercise involves a dumbbell or a barbell.
Here’s mine for starters:
‘The Dutch Windmill’
Pick up a dumbbell. Starting with it by your side, begin to rotate it in a circular motion like the hands of the clock. Repeat with both arms.
Would it build muscle? Yes (it wouldn’t).
Would it get you thrown out of your gym? Possibly.
So, get creative, and get posting below!
The deadline for entries is midnight April 30, 2014.

“Cartwheel burpes”
Perform a standard push up burpe and when coming down from the jump spring into a cartwheel and land into the next burpe while finishing your cartwheel
The dumbell running man- As you hear a nice groovy song playing in the gym, grab two dumbells in each hand, then start to perform the famous “running man” dancemove while pumping the dumbells forward and back. Works the arms, forearms and core, to get jacked like MC hammer himself.
“The Mongolian Crab”
Lie face down on the ground, legs and arms spread out. Get a mate to place a pile of plates on your back. Then shuffle around on the ground like a crab for reps.
“The Sheffield Shuffler”
Rest a heavy ish barbell on your traps and get into the squat position. Keep feet together and shuffle to the otherwise of the gym with the pressure on your calfs. Then chin someone. Instantly.
The Reverse Shrug
Load a barbell up with a minimum 60kg and press overhead, once in place and balanced begin to shrug your shoulders up and down.
It won’t build any muscle but guarantee you’ll see some other mug trying it next week
“The Sofa Press”
Bench press your sofa whilst your wife vacuum cleans underneath it.
“The Scotch Squat”
Down a shot of whiskey then instantly squat your 1RM.
“Tour De France”
For a more authentic cycle machine experience, take your racing bike in the gym and cycle on a treadmill.
Immerse yourself in the experience further by doping with hGH, testosterone and Erythropoietin, claim to be natty for several years after, before being stripped of all your gains.
Quiet a task. How ’bout doing push-ups with one hand for upper body strength followed by sit-ups with a dumbbell in both hands.
Cock Weighted Pull Ups:
Tie a dubmbell to your (preferably) flacid penis and perform standard pull ups. Great work out for the arms whilst lengthening the penis!
“Squat are Friends For”
First you need a friend to bend over like the are preparing for you to leapfrog over them. Then, pick up a barbell, raise above your head and squat jump over them. They then take your weight and do the same!
“Re-racking weights”
after you finished with the dumbbells or plates. put them back onto the rack.
“The Pancake Toss”
Chuck up dumbbell in the air and then catch it. Repeat for reps.
The more flips, the more likelihood it will build muscle.
“The Alaskan Screw”
Hold a barbell between your legs, with one hand in front and one hand round the back.
Then proceed to gyrate teh bar around like a youre are twisting a screw.
